[2 Stroke] Cagiva Mito Racer-new Exhaust

Your mention of the Mito's contralbero rang a bell. Is this the seven-speed engine?
Years ago I took a look at such an engine and I noticed the balance shaft having a half-circular shape and running submerged in gearbox oil. Fitting a circular sleeve around the balance shaft yielded 2 HP Very Happy

Yes, it is the seven-speed engine. I use a similar solution for balance shaft, a ergal cylinder closed at the sides.
But I've never tested the bike on the dyno Embarassed

So I don't know how the change of a single component affects the the engine power. I try individually the various modifications (reeds, reed valve inserts, heads, ignition advance, exhausts, etc. ..). When the bike is faster and the rider gives me the positive feedback the material is good.

I perform the tests only on the track. I know how many HP have found my rivals on the dyno (37.5 hp). Also in italian 125 SP championship after the race tested at parc fermé the bikes (Aprilia RS 125 with Rotax 122 engine) on the dyno and found 37 hp at the wheel.
My bikes are faster and my drivers 10 kg heavier. From this data I hypothesize the engine power at the wheel. It is not very accurate... Surely with a good dyno would do it better and before.

This is what I want to do on exhausts that I use currently:

It is recommended to try similar solutions for the exhausts made with the fos-pipe?
Having interchangeable inserts makes the job of tuning the exhaust with the engine easier.

I have few certainties in life. One certainty is that sooner or later I will die. The second certainty is that to get good performance from a 2 stroke engine you need a good exhaust.
The rest are so many doubts. So if anyone has any advice on the conformations of the nozzles the tips are welcome.
I know that I will have to do many tests before trying a "decent" insert. I will use the bronze for the insert, is easy to work and polish.

Il resto sono tanti dubbi. Quindi se qualcuno ha qualche consiglio sulla conformazioni degli ugelli sono ben accetti.
So che dovrò fare tante prove prima di provare un inserto "decente". Userò il bronzo per l'inserto, è facile da lavorare e lucidare.

My experience with the Mito engine is very limited and very old; we took a look at the Mito Sportproduction racer of an Italian friend in 1992. We did not change the balance shaft percentage; we did not even measure it; work on the real racing engine took all of our time.

The balance shaft percentage is 35%.
The Mito engine is an old project of Aermacchi. In Cagiva introduced the balance shaft. I assume that the percentage is a consequence of the spaces in the engine. So I want to work to change the balance.
We use the mototorcycle in relatively fast circuits, the average lap speed varies from a minimum of 125 km/h up to a maximum of 145 km/h.
If anyone has any advice to give to me is appreciated.
We have fun with these old engines :)

I am continuing to experiment with the Cagiva Mito and Honda reeds valve. I have set up various materials for testing.

A question for those who have been able to test on the dyno. I use a seven-speed engine. I could also use an 6 speed engine. How much power is lost with the seven-speed engine than the engine six-speed?
