"Riley Will" said: I am so greatful I found this forum! To be reading pages written by Mr. Thiel and Mr. Overmars is incredible for me. Being in Canada, there is no 2 stroke knowledge which becomes actually designing and building 2 stroke engines. I have read and re-read the 37 pages of posts and always look for more.
My company builds 2 stroke engines for kart racing. Like Mr. Payart of FPE, we build a disk valve twin cylinder 250cc Superkart engine. Just recently we designed and build a 150cc fixed gear engine for American dirt track Karting.
Good morning Riley, At [Vous devez être inscrit et connecté pour voir ce lien] I noticed that you offer exhaust pipes indicated # 21 and # 55. It so happens that Aprilia used those same numbers for two of their most effective pipe designs. Coincidence? Did you ever try the latest pipes, # 102 or # 106?

We have tried many pipes. I always come back to the Type 21 and 55. I have not had access to the other designations you mentioned. Would love a try though

The 150cc is a 58.0mm bore x 56.7mm stroke. Uses a 110mm connecting rod with 20mm crank pin. Main bearings are NJ205 type. Any other information, just ask:)

That was a picture of the first angine where I used a 22mm crank pin. We immediately went away from that and now I use an Italian 110mm rod with 20mm crank pin. We cut the connecting assembly mass by 40%!!! This of course then changed the crankshaft design (balance factor), but in the end 20mm pin is better.
Yes, cant agree with you more, this forum is awesome!!!

I have long been in contact with this company and I'm about to buy some of their products. I have sensors PCB Piezotronics to address pressure values exhaust and inlet.

No, I was not aware of TFX. After looking at their website, I think I need to call them! Cylinder pressure really interests me. Frits and Jan, What sensors would you like on your 2 stroke dyno?
Exactly what TFX is offering: high-resolution cylinder and crankcase pressures. They also do some coaching!

Frits, you know this material? And if yes, do you use?
A dutch kart-tuner who uses my hard- and software on his dynamic test bench, is quite happy with his TFX-equipment and with the support he gets from them. I have no own testing facilities in Holland but if I did, I would certainly look at TFX. It seems to be real good value for money.

Thank you for your reply, frits. This type of material usually costs a lot, but TFX offers a solution to a very attractive price. I think this is the best way to understand the inner workings of an engine, that is why I am buying this equipment, for development on my engines. Is that users of this material have a website?
