J'ai l'impression que c'est comme les Guzzi V7 Le Mans, une série de 100 a été fabriquée et il n'en reste que 500 :)

Suite au décé de son oncle, Trevor Fergusonlors du Manx grand prix, Ryan Farquhar arréte les courses sur routes. C'est bien dommage car il étais encore au top; Pourvu que son team continue.

A DISTRAUGHT Ryan Farquhar has told the News Letter he will never race again, following the death of his uncle at the Manx Grand Prix on Wednesday.

Trevor Ferguson, 48 (pictured right), from Castlecaulfield in Co Tyrone, lost his life after he crashed while competing on one of Farquhar’s KMR Kawasaki machines in the Supertwin race on the Isle of Man.

One of Northern Ireland’s most decorated road racers, Farquhar had earlier claimed his 10th Manx GP victory in the Senior Classic event, but a day that began with so much promise ended in the most heartbreaking circumstances.

Farquhar – who was due to compete in Friday’s Classic Superbike race at the Manx Grand Prix – says he is no longer willing to take the inherent risks involved in road racing after witnessing the devastating effects of his uncle’s fatal accident on Mr Ferguson’s wife and three children.

Fighting back tears, Farquhar said: “I’m finished with racing. I’ve been racing a long time and I’ve lost a lot of friends in that time, but it’s different when it comes to your own doorstep.

“What I have witnessed in the past 24 hours I’ve never seen before.

“It’s the people who are left behind who suffer the most.

“Trevor probably didn’t know anything about the crash, but the people left behind are hit the hardest,” said the 36-year-old.

“His wife and girls are in pieces. I don’t ever want Karen and my two girls to ever have to go through something like that.

“This is a sport I love but I can’t risk putting my family through something like that any more – I have to think of them.

“I don’t even know if I’ll be able to even run a team in the future,” he added.

“I need to sit down with Karen and talk it over and see where we go from here.”

In a cruel twist of irony, Dungannon competitor Nigel Moore went on to win the ill-fated race on a second of Farquhar’s machines.

Farquhar – the most successful rider ever in the history of Irish national road racing and a multiple winner at the Isle of Man TT, North West 200 and Ulster Grand Prix – said he “wished I’d never offered the bike to Trevor”.

“I’m lost for words – I wish I hadn’t offered Trevor the bike.

“I’m just absolutely gutted,” he added.

“I went up today to where the accident happened at The Nook and laid some flowers.

“I keep thinking if I hadn’t offered him the bike and he’d been on his own bike then maybe it wouldn’t have happened, but life is all ifs and buts.

“This is going to be a very tough time for Trevor’s family but I’m going to be there for them.

“He wasn’t just my uncle, he was a really good friend,” Farquhar said.

“I don’t think it has even really sunk in yet to be honest.”

Farquhar, from Killyman in Co Tyrone, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the organisers of the Manx Grand Prix for their support in the wake of the tragedy.

“On the behalf of myself, my family and my team, I just want to pass on our sincere thanks to the Manx Motor Cycle Club because they have been so supportive and have given us so much help – they couldn’t do enough for us,” he said.

“Everyone has rallied around and I want to thank the medics as well who worked on Trevor and everyone who has been there for us.”

Farquhar had already vowed to scale down his racing activities in 2013, setting a target of reaching 200 Irish road racing victories.

He currently has 199 wins and could have reached his goal at the Killalane meeting in September, the final Irish road race of the season.

This year, Farquhar won the inaugural Supertwin races at the North West 200 and Isle of Man TT and was also victorious in the class at the Ulster Grand Prix earlier this month.

Il avait remporté 199 courses sur route dans sa carrière et envisageait 200 comme un but à atteindre avant de s'arrêter.

Il ne sait pas encore s'il va continuer son team : non seulement la détresse de l'épouse et des filles de son oncle Trevor l'a fait réaliser ce que serait l'enfer de sa propre épouse et de leurs deux filles s'il lui arrivait quelque chose, mais en plus il vit comme une culpabilité d'être celui qui avait fourni sa moto à Trevor Ferguson, ce qui le pousserait plutôt à arrêter complètement, pour ne pas avoir à revivre le décès d'un pilote sur des motos à ses couleurs.

Farquar étant un géant - pilotant avec une énergie et une finesse incroyable sur ces routes tortueuses !

Sa fameuse couleur orange et son numéro 77 étant régulièrement dans le top 3, on savait que la bagarre allait être sérieuse quand il pointait le bout de son nez :::

A suivre weekend la Scarborough gold cup, dernière course sur route de la saison chez le British.

STRONG ENTRY FOR SCARBOROUGH GOLD CUP-15TH/16TH SEPTEMBER

The Auto 66, organisers of the Motorcycle Road Race meetings at the the Olivers Mount Circuit in Scarborough, North Yorkshire, are looking forward to a bumper crowd at this years Gold Cup.

With entries still not closed the Club have attracted every race winner from this years Ulster Grand Prix who are Michael Dunlop, Guy Martin, Ryan Farquhar, Davy Morgan, William Dunlop and making only his second appearance at Olivers Mount is New Zealander, Bruce Anstey who will ride a 600cc and 1000cc Honda for the Padgett Team. Bruce, as well as being a winner at the Ulster, is also a legend at the Isle of Man TT Races.



Making his first appearance at Olivers Mount this season is Ian Lougher who will be hoping to add to his record tally of wins, Ian now runs his own team which is contracted to the British Superbike Championships and has been unable to contest the earlier Scarborough meetings due to clashes of dates. Other noticeable riders are Michael Pearson, Paul Owen, Derek Shiels, Keith Pringle, Adrian Archibald plus many up and coming new stars.



Over the two days there will be a minimum of 9 races each day, with the Darren Lindsay Superbike trophy, the David Jefferies Cup, the Lee Pullan and Stu Reed Trophies, all being run over 2 legs with the first leg on Saturday. Sundays program will contain the Steve Henshaw Gold Cup, where all the stars will come together for what looks like being a thrilling final.

Racing starts at 1pm both days, with practice and qualifying on Saturday from 9am and free practice on Sunday from 9.30am.



Admission is available on the gate at £20 for Saturday and £25 for the Sunday per adult, accompanied children 15 and under are free as is parking. Sorry all advance tickets have been sold out but there will still be plenty of tickets to be bought on the gate but these will not allow you access to the competitors paddock.
