Météo du week-end, on va se marrer!

- Wild card : Le Néerlandais Bryan Schouten (mon chouchou), 18 ans, effectuera sa troisième Wild Card sur sa FTR-Honda préparée par les frères Ten Kate. A noter que la moto dispose d'un kit spécifique incluant arbres à cames et soupapes mais aussi vilebrequin, bielle et piston! Bryan est actuellement l'homme fort du CEV avec Fabio Quartararo et si aucun des deux n'est en tête de ce championnat, cela n'est dû qu'à un contact avec Rémy Gardner pour le premier et un déclassement abusif pour le second. Très probablement en GP l'année prochaine.
- Wild card : Thomas van Leeuwen, actuellement en tête du championnat néerlandais, s'alignera avec un moteur Honda monté dans un cadre Nico Bakker qui s'est rendu célèbre en fournissant des cadres victorieux à des pilotes tels que Boet Van Dulmen, Wil Hartog, Jack Middelburg, Giacomo Agostini et Johnny Cecotto dans les années 70'.-

- Le point exclusif avec Johann Zarco.
- Wild card : Gino Rea, toujours sans grand moyen (son père fait la mécanique) sur sa FTR, sur une piste qu'il connaît bien (victoire en Stock 600, 7ème en Supersport 2010, etc).
- Wild Card : la Commission des Grand Prix a abrogé à Barcelone la limite d'âge de 28 ans pour les wild cards. Par le passé, Carmelo Morales et Nina Prinz avaient été refusés pour cette raison. Il semblerait que la motivation en soit le manque de demande de Wild Card (Rea à part) pour les épreuves à venir; de bonne augure pour le [Vous devez être inscrit et connecté pour voir ce lien] à Brno.

- Ducati conserve ses GP13 et n'alignera pas les "Labos".
- Retour de Ivan Silva chez Avintia, pour remplacer Aoyama, blessé.

Le point au championnat:
L'écart se creuse entre le duo Pedrosa-Lorenzo et les autres, Marquez et surtout Chrutchlow compris.
Ce dernier se trouve maintenant à portée de tir des Italiens Dovizioso et Rossi qui, eux-mêmes, ont réussi à créer un petit gap avec le reste du plateau.
Bautista est évidemment le grand perdant des deux dernières courses.

Assen, the venue for round seven of the 2013 MotoGP™ season has one of the fastest average speeds on the calendar and its diverse, technical layout makes it a rider and fan favourite.

The Assen circuit is not particularly demanding for front tyres so softer rubber compounds are offered in the front slicks to provide better grip and warm-up performance. The rear tyres are put under comparatively more stress and it is the right shoulders of the rear slicks that take the most punishment, especially in the sequence of corners from Mandeveen to Hoge Heide. As a result, asymmetric rear slicks with harder rubber on the right shoulder a must at this circuit.

Following a partial resurfacing of the track in 2006, grip levels vary in different parts of the Assen circuit and so Bridgestone will provide tyres with rubber compounds towards the softer end of its range to ensure maximum rider safety.

Assen has always been harsh on rear tyres due to its high average speed and numerous high-camber corners. However, the introduction of the 1000cc MotoGP machines and the corresponding increase in power output, performance and bike weight means this circuit is now classified as particularly severe for tyres. As a result, all rear slicks supplied for this race will be in the same heat-resistant construction used at Mugello, though in softer compound options to suit the layout of this circuit. CRT riders will be allocated the soft and medium-soft rear slick options, while the works riders will be able to choose from the medium-soft and medium compound rear slicks.

The main wet tyre for the Dutch TT will be the soft compound though riders will be able to select up to two front and rear wet tyres in the alternative hard compound if required.

“The Dutch TT at Assen is often an intriguing race as the circuit is fast and presents many overtaking opportunities. The weather often plays its part at this event and in recent years we have experienced a lot of variability in weather conditions, ranging from cold and wet to very warm and dry. The variety of corners at this circuit make it very important for teams to find a good setup as the bikes have to work well through slow and fast corners, while being nimble in the numerous changes of direction. For the first time this year we are bringing heat-resistant rear slicks to Assen and I believe that using this specification of tyre combined with the softer rubber compound options we are offering for this race will provide the best combination of safety and performance.”

“Assen is a fast and technical circuit that requires asymmetric tyres because of the high loads placed on the right shoulder of the rear tyres. Following its modification in 2006 there are two distinct types of tarmac, with the newer tarmac having less grip and also being less abrasive than the older surface. This difference in surface grip can also make the circuit tricky in wet conditions. The tyres at this circuit have to cope with a wide range of corners from slow to high speed, and the layout means high grip levels on the shoulder and edges of the tyre is crucial. The first few corners are linked as one and gradually tighten, requiring good right shoulder durability, and corners such as Ramshoek demand absolute commitment and generate high tyre temperature. Since the heavier, more powerful 1000cc machines have been introduced to MotoGP we have had to reclassify Assen as a severe circuit for tyres, so for the first time this year all rear slicks supplied for the Dutch TT are in our heat-resistant Special Construction specification.”

Softer Dunlop Moto2 & Moto3 Options As Riders Move To Assen




After the extreme temperatures of Catalunya the MotoGP Championship moves on to the more comfortable temperatures of Assen where experience shows that conditions can be anything from sun to rain showers at what is normally a very windy circuit.




Catalunya had its ups and downs with regard to tyre performances. Both the Moto3 and Moto2 classes were chasing grip all weekend due to high track temperatures. The two separate classes gave two different sets of tyre results. In Moto2 the temperatures were reaching over 125°c temperature in the rear tyres and up to 100°c in the fronts which were the highest recorded so far this year, and some of the riders who used lower pressures to increase grip levels saw more tyre degradation making the last laps of the race quite difficult for them. Most of the best individual lap times were set early in the race, which is not typical for the Moto2 class, showing how difficult the conditions were.




Moto3 riders experienced almost a complete opposite. Lap times were very fast, so much so that the race time was 34.635 seconds quicker than in 2012. Not only that but best individual race times were being set in the latter stages of the race, with Maverick Vinales # 25 setting a new lap record on lap 20 of 22.




For Assen Dunlop is changing the tyre allocations for both Moto3 and Moto2 to suit the circuit and weather conditions. Moto2 will have the 302 compound (soft) front as the Dunlop recommended race tyre if dry, but there will also be the 345 (medium) compound front as a precaution for hotter conditions. For the rear the 3854 soft compound will be allocated which was raced by 29 of the 33 riders last year with very good results. The 3855 medium compound will be the second option.




Moto3 will see a return to the ‘S’ compound rear tyre, replacing the ‘H’ rear that was raced by some in Catalunya previously. This will be partnered by the riders’ favourite ‘M’ compound which has been raced at every dry event since the Moto3 Championship started. The usual ‘M’ and ‘H’ combination of fronts will give the riders the confidence to push hard in hot or cool conditions depending on the conditions.

“After complaining about the weather for the last six months, it was nice to come home from Catalunya with a little bit of a sun tan. Saying this, I can’t wait to start moaning again about bad weather conditions as we head north up to Assen. Catalunya was hot and sticky and gave more than a few headaches for our service engineers and technical crew. What was good about Catalunya was the wide range of tyre choice used in both classes. Our technical department can make good use of the information that we brought back from that race.




“Assen circuit was slightly altered before last year’s race so we have new records to try and beat. The nature of the circuit makes it a high grip surface which gives good wet weather performance also. Dunlop is happy to have proven tyres at this event so all we have to work with are the conditions.”

Allan Techer à pris une bonne cadence ce matin 10 pour l'instant ...

Concernant les Moto-GP,interessant le point de vue des gens de chez Bridgestone qui ont classé Assen maintenant dans les circuits les plus exigeants du championnat ce qui n'etait pas le cas a priori avec les 800.Ils utilisent les gommes du Mugello car les contraintes sont similaires,avec,de plus une construction du pneu AR asymetrique (plus dur coté droit).De plus ils doivent faire avec le mix du grip du circuit qui est tres different entre le vieux tarmac et le nouveau de la partie modifiée qui a eté resurfacée...Un vrai casse-tete Assen pour Bridge!

A propo de Ducati,

GPinside/ Dovisioso:Il faut dire que l’amélioration en laquelle Ducati avait placé de nombreux espoirs, la desmosedici laboratoire, s’est révélée être une opération blanche puisque mis à part Andrea Iannone, aucun pilote Ducati n’semblé enthousiaste à l’idée de l’utiliser en course.

« Iannone l’a trouvée bonne, surtout en ce qui concerne l'avant où il a trouvé des améliorations plus marquées par rapport à nous, les pilotes officiels. C’est normal qu’il roule avec celle qu’il préfère. Pour nous, il était important d'améliorer la moto de l'année dernière, mais ce n'est pas le cas et nous ne savons pas pourquoi. La seule certitude, c'est qu'il nous faut quelque chose de différent, parce que ce qui a été fait jusqu'ici n'est pas suffisant et les idées apportées en piste n'ont pas entraîné les grands changements dont nous avons besoin ».

Séances disputées  cause de la pluie qui menace de tomber à tout instant; du coup tout le monde a donné le maximm tout de suite et les Belgo-Français s'en sortent plutôt pas mal du tout!



Et oui, Aleix Espargaro est impressionnant, même si on n'oublie pas qu'il a des pneus plus tendres que les MotoGP.

Tout ça c'est moins vite que l'an 2012

Le moto 2 .

Exact, mais la température aussi... 19 contre 26 pour la piste.

Sur certaines images, on pouvait voir un arrière plan bien menaçant ! Je ne parle pas du grand méchant loup mais de la météo...

C'est la pêche pour les ducat', avec en prime la laboratoire devant les officielles!

Il me semble que le laboratoire ne roule pas.

Pirro remplace Spies et Iannone ne l'aura pas avant le Sacchenring.

J'ai "chopper" cette photo sur la page FB de Danny Gavage un passionné de bon aloi .

Très redresser le moteur en L.

Ils est plus que "basculé" le moteur là!



Le boulot abattu par DUCATI me stupéfait... Je ne considère ni la direction prise ni les résultats, mais la quantité de travail fourni par Borgo Panigale est impressionante!


Ce qui me parait surprenant c'est que les chronos n'évoluent pas ou que le ressentit reste le même d'un châssis à un autre... Comment sur un circuit comme Assen, bosselé, pas très large (donc peut propice aux grandes glisses je présume) peu être défavorable aux DUCATI comme Barcelone?!
Après, ils attendent peut être la pluie pour se lacher?

Si apparement pirro roule avec dixit gp inside "Michele Pirro roule avec la Desmosedici laboratoire dont les pilotes officiels n’ont pas voulu à Assen. Il les devance pourtant puisqu’il occupe la neuvième position tandis que Dovizioso (+1,778) et Hayden (+1,890) sont onzième et douzième. Randy de Puniet est quinzième."

Très redresser le moteur en  L.

A noter la position des platines de reposes pieds tout en avant et tout en haut des possibilités avec les fixations très proches du cadre et l'épaisseur sur le réservoir d'essence .

Chute de Lorenzo, il se tient le poignet.
