Do you see a front frame / mudguard ? I have concerns about engine cooling...
Very nice job !

Hi, Congratulations Laurence.
We can think that the front surface of this suspension is less than that of a conventional fork, so a better "transparency" to the penetration of air to the radiator. Obviously the profile of the arms is less favorable to the flow, perhaps closing the cells with some "solar" for aero-modelism.

Thanks chaps......I very much agree with your concerns of the aerodynamic quality's of the uprights shape....this is something that will change in the future....
The present uprights are an experiment to see how waterjet cutting a profile would work.....its cheaper than CNC and easier for myself to finish machine on my manual Mill......the present uprights whilst structurally strong enough....they have a poor Fatigue strength so their life is limited....I am planning on lifeing them too 10 test/track days which for me is about a year....by then I will have a set of CNC 7075 uprights made and they will be made with a much more Aero profile....and probably lighter as well....

Superbe travail de la suspension avant. Il y a une vidéo où on voit la moto tourner depuis le bord de la piste ?
Sorry no....at this stage just the on bike video....
Really happy with the way the bike is steering.....I am using a methodology where the Geometry of the suspension Emulates the kind of geometry change that a telescopic fork has when braking and corner entry.....but with less prodive than a telescopic fork and also less reduction in wheelbase....and it seems to be working well.
At present the front damper is still a little crude in its response so can only get better wiht further work......

You put the nomex honeycomb to help direct airflow into and through the rad ???
The Nomex is just a stone guard to protect the radiator.....nothing more....but because it has such a fine wall thickness is has very little obstruction too airflow....

Never saw this kind of stone guard ... the idea is not so bad; a "down under" tip ?

Hi Laurence,
First of all congratulation for your work it's very impressive. You spoke of Finite Element Analysis, which software did you used and which kind of analysis did you performed ?
And about the global project, can you give us an estimation of the cost/time necessary ?
